This Sunday we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul tells us that Jesus was "delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification" (Romans 4:25). Only through the cross could God be both just and the one who justifies sinners. In the resurrection the Father declares to all the world that the perfect sacrifice offered by his Son, on our behalf, was indeed holy and acceptable in his sight.
