We find two principles illustrated by Paul. First, we see in him a model of how Christians are to lead in the church, not by demanding, but by exhorting. Second, we recognize that Paul rejects the Roman Law with respect to escaped slaves and acts as judge over the case in question. Justice is accomplished, but it is accomplished in God's manner and in a way faithful to God's Law.
