Yet Isaiah 54 has been powerfully used by God in church history. As Joe points out, believers are challenged in three ways: (1) Sing when you recall God’s covenant with Abraham; (2) Don’t fear when you recall God’s covenant through Moses; and (3) hope when you recall God’s covenant with Noah. Miserable believers are comforted with future hope when they consider God's covenant-keeping love.
