Last Sunday we concluded our study of John 5:1-9 as we learned about Jesus entering Jerusalem and going to the pool of Bethesda where He healed a man who had been lame for 38 years simply by asking the man if he wished to get well.
The lame man did not reply with "Yes" or "No", but gave Jesus an excuse about having no one to help him get into the pool when the water was stirred by an angel.
Jesus then said to the man, "Get up, pick up your pallet and walk", and the man picked up his pallet and began to walk. But, by healing the lame man, Jesus caused another problem with the Jews.
