Everything He did was for us. Being human is more than being human with physical life. We are spiritual, and just as there is physical life, there is spiritual life. Death exists only because there is life. Anyone can be tortured. Anyone can suffer. Anyone can die, and everyone does die. Only God can raise from the dead. Only God can die and raise Himself back to life. Only God can give life. Fully paying for sins, creating and giving life, and overcoming death are three things only God can do. No one else can do these things.
