There are many beautiful types in the traditional Jewish Passover celebration that point to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection. Some believe that the order of the modern Passover seder is over 2000 years old and that some of the traditions practiced today may have been practiced during the time of Christ. The seder concludes with the participation of the company in the bread and cup which Jesus gave to His disciples before He was to be crucified. Today this is celebrated every time we remember the Eucharist, the Lord's Supper or the Communion table - the symbols of His body and blood.
