The Shunammite is described in the Bible as 'a Great woman' She provided for the Lord's prophet and obviously had a deep faith in God. However despite this she is a woman who experienced many many trials in her life. Here she is described as having to undergo a number of difficulties. She has to become a refugee and then comes after seven years home to find her home stolen. She might have wondered what God was doing and yet in the end we find that God worked things out for this woman in a way she could never have imagined. This story is an illustration of the truth that 'All things work together for good to them that love God.'
