The greatest coronation of a king that the world has ever seen was the coronation of Christ during His first advent at the beginning of Passion week. As great as this coronation was, it was also one of the most tragic moments for the nation of Israel because they wanted Jesus to be king over them for selfish purposes instead of dealing with their greatest issue—their sin. This Sunday, we will see how many people also want Jesus to be king of their lives for selfish purposes, yet they do not want Him to be truly king over their lives.
