As we continue our study of the Gospel of Mark, we begin our study of chapter 6. In these initial verses we see the response of Jesus' home town to His words and ministry.
He is largely rejected by his community and they are not receptive to Him. It is clear that they had heard the stories and rumors of his mighty works, but refuse to listen to the teaching of His word. Part of this was due to familiarity, but was primarily because of unbelief.
