Day 1: Read Luke 8:26-39 Regarding demons what are some of the unbiblical views people (Christians and non-Christians) have? Read James 1:14 & 4:1; where does temptation come from, for certain? What will you do today to "make no provision for your flesh" (Rom. 13:14) so that temptation from your flesh is weakened?
Day 2: Read Luke 8:26-39W hat sorts of problems did demon-possessed people have? What sort of problems do people have now? How would you respond to anyone who had a unbiblical view of demons? Why did Paul do what he did in Acts 16:18?
Day 3: Read Luke 8:26-39 What are some of the reasons why we might not see more demonic activity? Read 1 Peter 3:18-20 and discuss: Where did Jesus go after he was crucified and before he rose from the grave? What did he do there? To whom did he speak? Why? Why did Jesus do all of this? Look at verse 22 for the answer. What is it about Jesus that, according to verse 22, that gives us confidence that demons are subject to him?
