Family Worship Guide Memory Verses: Deuteronomy 6:6-7Â
Day 1: Read Luke 8:26-39 When the townspeople saw the man who had been possessed by demons, what would you have expected their reaction to be? What is your reaction to the work of God in someone else's life? Have you ever begrudged the Holy Spirit radically changing someone else? If so, explain and then describe what you wish you would have done differently.
Day 2: What is the first reason people reject Jesus? Describe spiritual blindness. In what areas of your life might you still be spiritually blind? What practical steps could you take right now to not be spiritually blind?
Day 3: Considering the reaction of the townspeople, what specific characteristics about Jesus were they rejecting? Which character in this account was told to remain with the townspeople? Explain how he may have felt when Jesus told him "no." In what areas of your life are you rejecting a characteristic of Jesus? What do you need to do today, in order to submit yourself to full lordship of Jesus Christ?
