Desire, what you find pleasant and appealing, is what moves me and is what moves you. A person's desire is his motivation; it's what makes him do what he does in all of life. To that end, continuing in our wisdom series, Pastor Simpson contrasted the difference between "Wise Desires and Foolish Delights" for our first-hour service. What motivates you? The Word speaks of the wise seeking the Lord more then silver or gold. The Word also speaks of the fool and his desires, what motivates him, and what he seeks in life. If it is possible for a man to choose to be wise or to be foolish, why would anyone choose to be foolish? At Providence Church, we urge you to seek after Godly wisdom and avoid foolishness - may today's brief message give guidance to us all as we desire to seek wisdom.
