Paul is trying to give in additions to his exhortations: the final warnings re the Faith of the believers in Philippos. 1. Rejoice as believers! 2. Beware and take heed of those threats that invade the Church to destroy their faith. 3. And the Reasons: To have no confidence in yourselves (in the flesh) - for what you have done and for what you have NOT done,...but only Trust in Christ Alone!! -Reflect to serve God by the Holy Spirit. -Boast on Christ Jesus! -Do not trust the flesh, the natural man, the totally depraved soul.
