While it didn’t always get the desired result the message did reach it’s target. Each person is going to become what they choose to bring into their lives. The more of this world that is brought in, the more worldly the heart becomes; and the more of God that is brought in the more Christ-like the heart becomes. Some will bring into themselves God’s message of humility and servant hood while others will only harden their already hard hearts because they hunger for this world. For the Christian this is especially important for us to conform to God so that we can help others as well as ourselves. We must make Jesus the king of our heart; question is, is He?
