Paul gave an exhortation in 1 Corinthians 11:2, "keep the ordinances". The Lord Jesus gave two "ordinances": baptism and the Lord's Table (v.10:21). This message focuses on the latter ordinance. The text from 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, is rich with truth, encouraging and full of warning. Paul directly quotes the Lord in verses 24 and 25, which is rare. In verse 26, he says "ye do show the Lord's death till he come". By "show" he means confess and declare.
