God loves us. If we are justified, it is because of His righteousness in us. God is not mad at us. Jesus took our punishment and by doing so, He took our debt in full. We are all dead in our trespasses and sin if we are not born again. We are saved from God’s wrath. When Jesus died for us, He made our relationship right with Him. We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God and we rejoice in our sufferings. We are not the same as a result of what God has done. He makes us His own. God rejoices over us with singing. He celebrates with dancing, joy, and song. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The more we find out who God is, the more we realize how much joy and love He has for us. Adam failed to keep the Lord’s command and therefore all of his descendants now have a sin nature. God’s power is transforming and we do not have to live like sons and daughters of Adam and Eve. We need to live for Christ. Death reigned because of sin, however, in Christ Jesus we reign in life. In Christ, we should rejoice.
