Isaiah 7-12 consists of two messages: one to Judah and the other to Israel as a whole. Tonight we will be looking at Judah. It's important to understand the unity of the passage in order to understand the message. 7:1-9:7 is all about four children: - Shear-Jashub (A remnant shall return), - Immanuel (God with us), - Maher-shalal-hash-baz (quick to the plunder, hasten to the prey), - and the child of Isaiah 9 – the Prince of Peace.
