God can use people despite of their failures and their sins. God even uses people who rebel against Him. In our natural state we are rebels against God. Although Samson’s parents dedicated him to the Lord, however, Samson had not dedicated himself to the Lord. Judas Iscariot, even though he laid his hands on the sick and they became well, did not obey the Lord with his whole heart. Like Judas, Samson did not obey God with his whole heart. Samson was Israel’s judge for 20 years and may have thought everything he was doing was okay, but it was not. God's word is the authority no matter how we feel or what public opinion says. Sin has consequences and just because we have not crashed yet, does not mean we are okay. Anyone who will do the wrong thing with you, will betray you. The Philistines praised their god Dagon when Samson, who knew the Lord, failed to obey the Lord. God took revenge on His enemies by using Samson once again in the end. God uses sinful people to display His purposes and He will receive glory.
