Day 1: Ps 127, Neh 4:13-15, Pro 21:13, and discuss: What does the psalmist teach about where our confidence needs to be in building and protecting our home? What is the risk to the family or any endeavor, if God is not in it? How does Nehemiah show us a balance that is required in taking steps to protect ourselves and trust God? What does Proverbs teach us regarding the need to prepare but trust in God? What is the risk of only trusting in our ability to protect?
Day 2: Matt 18:1-6, Mark 10:13-14, and discuss: What was Jesus' description of what should happen to those who harm children? How was this unique to how stern He was with other types of sin? How are we responsible for creating an environment where children can come to Christ.
Day 3: 1 Cor 6:9-11, 2 Cor 5:18-20, Matt 5:13, 1 Cor 5:9-10, and discuss: Why would God want us to remember where we were before coming to Christ? How does this allow for hope that people can be changed? Where does that change come from? What is the danger of putting people in a box for a particular sin? What has God committed to us regarding the reconciliation of the world? What is the risk we take when we lose our purpose of being salt in the earth? Why did Paul make the distinction between keeping company with professing believers living in sin versus the lost living in sin?
