As is our custom at CrossPointe, we have a special quarterly communion service at which time we contemplate the meaning of the Lord's table.
This quarter pastor Tony considers the response by each of the three crucified that fateful day in Jerusalem. First there was the reprobate who hurled insults and challenged Jesus saying "Are You the Christ?" Then there is the repentant who asks Jesus, in faith, to be remembered when He come to His Kingdom. Jesus assures the repentant that "This day you will be with Me in paradise." It is a display God's grace Who can save even those who are soon to die. Pastor reminds us that we should not give up praying for the salvation of unbelieving family and friends. In the context of Pastor Tony's message, take special note of his comment about who was giving testimony to Jesus, the Messiah, verses those who were NOT present and not giving testimony for the defense.
In conclusion and in the context of today's meditation, Pastor Tony presents the free offer of the Gospel as described in and through the work the Christ, the Redeemer, on the cross of Calvary. Come with us as we consider the responses of the reprobate, the repentant and the Redeemer.
