Great Sermon! Hey Bryn,
Check out "Joy Unspeakable" by Martin Lloyd Jones. It goes into detail about te baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Question I've been listening to this book intently as his criticisms of the current powerlessness of the church seem so relevant, they could have been written yesterday, and his description of the indwelling of Christ within us sounds amazing.
I have a problem though, he speaks of a twofold blessing, regeneration (1st blessing) and then the indwelling of the Spirit (an idea he repeats in more detail in his book The Spirit of Christ). He seems to be saying that the Holy Spirit doesn't dwell in us, until we are baptised in the Holy Spirit (which doesn't happen at conversion). I'm just not sure he's right. The example he uses are the believers in ephesus, who had only received the baptism of John (repentance) but the problem there is that I would say that if those believers hadn't been baptised into Jesus, they weren't Christians AT ALL. that's what we would say to someone who said that today.
Any thoughts? I really want to understand this, i'm not anti-charismatic, but i do think we should have good biblical basis for our beliefs.
Thoughts would be appreciated
