While Chris Sippley was preaching the gospel, a young lady who professed to be a Christian tried to interrupt the preaching to tell Chris what he was doing was wrong. I asked to talk to her to keep her from interrupting the preaching. A short conversation ensued during which I rebuked her for blaspheming God by trying to interrupt the preaching in order to interject that she knew a better way to engage in evangelism. She walked away rather angry. Her friend, Linus, soon approached me in an attempt to defend friendship evangelism as better than open-air preaching. Tony spent an hour talking to Linus. In the end, Tony stressed to Linus that by limiting his evangelism to his friends he was limiting his evangelism to only people he liked.
