In Acts 10:1-33 Luke provides the narrative of how God providentially is working in the life of the Apostle Peter and other disciples to fulfill the command in Acts 1:8. In this section, God works in the life of Peter demonstrating that what was once considered unclean, God has now made clean. Despite the traditional upbringing of Peter and the Jewish traditionalism he was raised in, God continually sanctifies Peter, and Peter continues to be obedient to the prompting of the Spirit. Additionally, the Roman Centurion Cornelius is an excellent example of God supernaturally interceding in the life of individuals for God's Will and glory.
