The Bible gives us some basic truths that don't take a whole lot of in-depth study to comprehend. It says that the days of our lives will be right around 70 years long, and if we are strong, then we might get to be 80 or so. The median death age for men is 72, and 77 for women, so there you go. The Bible also tells us that the days of our lives are as a 'tale that is told', an unfolding story. I come in contact with many people who are at a crossroads of some kind in their lives, they have hit a bump in the road and their forward progress becomes impeded. They become depressed or confused, and before you know it are in a trial of their faith, happens all the time. So when the Bible tells us that our lives are like a tale that is told, how comforting is it to know that we can start from where we are and change the narrative of our storyline. Hebrews 12:2 tells us that Jesus is the "author and finisher of our faith" and that if you're saved your story ends guaranteed with you with Him in Heaven. But between then and now, as we work out our salvation with "fear and trembling", it is up to us to write the pages of our tale. For some of us, it's a tweak to the plotline, for others it's a major rewrite, but the good news is that it does not have to remain as it is. Today I bring you a message on how to have a happy ending to your tale.
