Our eighth message in Romans focuses on the condemnation of the entire human race. The LAW does not provide any advantage to sinners - both Jews and Gentiles are completely condemned. The first three chapters of Romans clearly makes the accusation that all mankind has already been charged with being under the power of sin. Their LIFESTYLE proves their guilt, as Paul strings together six O.T. passages like pearls: the first passage describes man's character; passages two through four share man's conversation; passage five reveals their conduct; and the sixth passage summarizes their carelessness (no fear of God). Ultimately, Paul describes their LIABILITY because they are directly accountable to God. The result of our condemnation will be twofold: (1) the closing of every mouth, and (2) the liability of all the world being brought to trial. The reason for judgment is because no flesh will ever be justified by the Law - it only condemns man, requiring a Savior.
