Main Idea: Because Christ has been raised, we must believe that dead people DO rise!
• Basic Question: If Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some say that the dead don’t rise? (12)
• Seven (7) logical and necessary outcomes of believing that dead people do not rise (13-19)  Not even Christ has not been raised (13, 16)  Our preaching is in vain (14)  Your faith is in vain (14, 17)  We are misrepresenting God (15)  You are still in your sins (17)  Dead Christians are damned (18)  We are of all people most to be pitied (19)
• But—in fact Christ HAS been raised from the dead (1-11, 20)  The firstfruits of those who have died
• Therefore—the remaining six (6) outcomes are reversed!  Our preaching is not in vain!  Your faith is not in vain!  We are not misrepresenting God!  You are not still in your sins!  Dead Christians are not damned!  We are not to be pitied, but to be envied!
