Beginning in 1973, Dave went into ministry full-time. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 books dealing with the incursion into Western culture, religion, and the church itself, of Eastern as well as psychological and selfist philosophies, New Age thinking, ecumenism between Catholics and Protestants, and other heretical teachings. More than three million copies of Hunt's books have been sold, and have been translated into many languages. Hunt fills numerous speaking engagements in many countries, is a frequent radio and TV talk-show guest (as well as co-hosting his own radio show), and has engaged in many debates with Catholic apologists. Hunt's organization publishes a monthly newsletter, "The Berean Call" (co-authored by T.A. McMahon"), which has a mailing list of more than 25,000. Although this ministry disagrees with brother Dave on his view of Calvinism (see our video on YOUTUBE, "DAVE HUNT OF "THE BEREAN CALL," CALVINISM AND THE BAPTIST CONFESSIONS") we believe overall Dave has done a good work for the Lord over the years.

Was ever in all of history such a statement made? John immediately equates the readers' acceptance of this revelation with "wisdom." We dare not pass over such a disclosure casually. It merits our careful and prayerful attention. Here is no mystical or allegorical language but an unambiguous statement in plain words: "The woman ... is that great city."
