There are many Christians who have spent most of their Christian lives with out this fullness. They are not Spirit filled Christians. The Spirit is not the predominant – dominating influence in their lives. They are not experiencing the intimate presence of the person of Christ filling them and flowing out from them. And I believe there are a number of reasons but one of them is directly related to this verse Hebrews 11:6. They do not experience the fullness of the Spirit because in the lower streams of their conscience they have doubts about Who He really is and doubts about the reward He wants to fill us with.
Therefore: The first step in the filling of the Holy Spirit is to understand who the Spirit is and what is the reward that He brings with Him as He fills us. This morning we seek to answer the question: Who is the Holy Spirit and what is His reward?
