Christ gives two commandments: to love God and others. He doesn't give a third commandment: to love ourselves. God's law is important by virtue of our being God's creation and His being in covenant with His people. All God's law is summarized in these two commandments. We are to love God's law, nevertheless, when understood correctly, it compels us to come to Christ for all our righteousness.
