“ Great Sermon! ”
Wow! Loving the Lord is easy. Following his commands is not usually difficult (10 commandments, Sermon on the Mount). But aging (those over 60) will bring on the breakdown of the human body, gradually. Now we get to face cancer, dementia, fat, arthitis, loss of hair, and so much more fun stuff to look forward to. Greg Barkman reads what the Bible says and then gives example after example (from the Bible as well as from today's life) on how to face these trials, what our attitude should be, and our priorities in life. I believe we always but always go first to the Lord with our struggles and lay it down at his throne. I thoroughly enjoyed the sermon and I will listen to it again. Thank you for your time and study Greg.

This is a most excellent sermon on trials because it is so well-rounded and covers everything one will go through as a Christian in this life. It leaves you with great comfort in the end.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Wow! what a great sermon, Pastor, and one which I so needed to be reminded of, that God is using every trial for my good and his glory. Even being disabled for many years, with pain, and with mainly no voice, and little hearing, and having to rely on full-time help. Every single trial is to mould us as God wants us to be, humbled and pliant to be made more like His glorious image. Thank you Pastor for a great sermon, sure it will be a help to many. I remember years ago, when in hospital, I read a book with a similar message - "The bumps are what you climb on" by Warren Wiersbe. So we must "count it all joy" for this is all in the purpose and plan of God. What was most helpful was your statement that often those with the strongest faith, receive the greatest trials, or words to that effect. That was an encouragement. Love in Christ, English Rose

“ Great Sermon!, it was taylor fit, a good medicine ”
it clear many doubts, give nderstanding about the purpose of our Master in shaping and making us fit for heaven, to avoid the complaining of the wilderness wanderings, and instead bring glory to his name as God develops that attitude of trust, as Jesus said I came not to do my will but He who sent me, if a seed do not die can not bring forth fruit, i guess it is the same with us, God do empty us of our demands for a better life, and make as Jesus meek and lowly of heart, God lives the contrite and the humble, and give them grace, it is true, that as the children of israel realized the deliverance actually brought more trails and testings, but instead of wanting to go back to bondage, as the preacher said mentioned romans 8, all things worked for good to them that love God and are called according to his purposes, and having the right attitude and disposition, knowing that He who brought the trial, brought it with the purpose of making us more like Christ, when we are convinced of that we can rejoice, even when we sorrow, it has been difficult to swallow that the Lord love me, when i lost every thing dear to me, immediate family (now overseas in the US)job, father, friendship, money, reputation, etc, but i got a little taste of His sufferings and love him more for his uncond love

Just a shame that quite a lot of this sermon was almost inaudible, because what encouragement and help it has been to me. Thank you and God bless you and your ministry, Mr Barkman. Cathy.
