The church has a mission on this earth. We have the great commission that Jesus gave us - to preach the Gospel to every creature and to the ends of the earth. Jesus told Peter to "feed my sheep." The sheep must be spiritually healthy, strong, and of a sound mind in order to carry out the great commission with any effectiveness.
