Both Micah and Isaiah preached powerfully against the pride and sins of Israel and Judah. Both condemned the empty and vain religions of their nation. In our text the prophet sets a standard for every true believer; a standard that has was the opposite of the proud vanity of their world. Humans have asked themselves how to please and worship God; their voices are filled with pleas of how they can make peace with God, how they can be exalted to walk with Him in peace. God answers their questions in this verse.
