Jeremiah is still preaching with word pictures. In chapter 18, we saw a potter that showed God's sovereignty. In chapter 19, we see a bottle (bakbuk), which pictures God's wrath.
Does God get glory in judgment? Would He still be just if He sent every one of us to Hell? Does He have the right to have compassion on whom He wants to? Absolutely! God is glorified whether He makes a bakbuk or destroys a bakbuk. The only way a broken vessel can escape God's wrath is to flee to the One who became sin for us.
This gives us cause for evangelism. Are you burdened for the vessels of wrath around you? Enough to pray? Enough to SHARE?
