The Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem in A.D. 33 has been traditionally known as Palm Sunday for the palm branches which the people of the city spread for the Lord's Royal procession.
Upon that day there were great shouts for joy and adoration from the people for the One who they had pronounced King—the royal son of David. “Hosanna, Hosanna, Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the Lord” were their cries.
Yet little did they know exactly who they were hailing as the Blessed Son of David or what were the implications of Christ's entrance into Jerusalem as King. For this was truly the King of Glory. The King of every nation. The King Jehovah incarnate, universal Suzerain and Master.
So what does His Kingly entrance mean? What did it mean then, and what does it mean now?
This sermon explores those and other very practical and needful questions so that we may establish that Kingdom of Christ, on earth in time and history unto the praise of His Glory.
