God has called each believer to be not only His worshipers, but also His witnesses. But when one mentions the word 'witness', many feel guilt and remorse over lost opportunities. However, God has called upon us to first of all BE before we DO. We are to BE witnesses by living Jesus Christ in front of our unsaved family members and friends. As Alexander MacLauren noted, 'The world takes it notion of God, most of all from the people who say they belong to God's family. They read us a great deal more than they read the Bible. They see us; they only hear about Jesus.' When our life backs up our lips, then we have a credible platform from which to advertise the greatness of our God and the salvation that He offers to mankind. In the words of Jesus, we need to 'Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify God your Father in heaven.' (Matthew 5:16)
