What drives you? Jesus' told his disciples that it was food and drink to him to complete his Father's work in the salvation of sinners. His approach to people is so different from the normal. We tend to limit our help to 'our own people', ignore strangers, focus on big issues, and be influenced by social expectations. Jesus' ignored all these things when he dealt with the woman of Samaria. The individual is of first importance to him, a precious harvest that will be destroyed if salvation does not come. God's work is to bring people back to himself; from the throne of heaven Jesus is doing that. What does this say to an anxious soul? or a lazy Christian?
