Lord's Day 45. Q&A 116, 117 In the evening we come to the final section of the Heidelberg Catechism - the Lord's prayer - and take up the introduction to that with our sermon from 2 Chronicles 7.14. I must say of the many texts which are often misused 2 Chronicles 7.14 is pretty high up on that list. We want to understand it properly and see the light it sheds on the Catechism. We need to know how powerful and effective prayer is so that we might be all the more encouraged to 'seek His face.'
