Everyone loves a good story. Stories resonate with us deep in our hearts because we can identify with the major issues of life being presented in the story. They can connect with us on an intellectual, moral, emotional, and spiritual level. Stories strip away all the clutter of rules and regulations and get right down to the heart of the matter. This is why Jesus used parables so often. No one taught in stories more than Jesus. Obviously, sharing the gospel through Biblical Stories is an effective and relevant method for sharing the gospel. Sadly, the western style of teaching has often neglected this powerful technique. This week, we would like for you to read through as many of the scripture stories listed below as possible. On your own, evaluate them in light of the five key elements of the gospel listed in lesson six. When we gather for class on Sunday we will examine some of them to see which ones would be most effective with certain audiences. Then we will practice sharing the gospel through these stories with one another so we build confidence for using them when we are out sharing the gospel with the lost soul’s all around us throughout the week. SCRIPTURE STORIES THAT CAN BE USED TO SHARE THE GOSPEL:
