In this third message in the series of studies in the Book of Romans, Pastor Gordon expounds the phrase "a called Apostle". This is the second of three descriptive terms of self-designation used by Paul in his introduction to the letter.
In an age that abounds with pretenders to the offices of Biblical leadership, it is vital to return to the emphasis of scripture upon the necessity of being called of God to the work of ministry.
In an age that lays claim to modern apostles or to a line of men who stand as apostolic successors, it is important to recapture the Biblical emphasis upon the uniqueness and extraordinary nature of the apostolic office.
It is our prayer that this study may contribute to a fresh understanding of the Biblical witness on these themes and help in making believers able to discern the difference between true apostles and false.
