If you are a reader, you probably have shelves full of books in your home. They may contain adventure stories, histories, biographies, or even cookbooks. No matter what the subject, there is one thing that is certain. Every book has an ending. As you near the end, you notice that there are only a few pages left. And this makes you either want to slow down and enjoy the story or to hurry and finish the book before you fall asleep! But at some point, you finish the book and then consider what you have just finished.

But all good things must come to an end. As we look at the final section, we will hear the final thoughts of Mark as he concludes the story. In our last study, we left the disciples still huddled in a room thinking about Jesus' death. Even after three people told them about seeing Jesus alive, they refused to believe them. This leads us to an interesting question. With only seven more verses to go, how will the unbelieving disciples become those who preached the gospel to everyone and turned the world upside-down? Let's read the text to find out. |
