1. The just shall live by faith is the gospel cry and refrain. 2. Anyone who does not know what this means does not know the gospel and cannot find peace. 3. The teaching of, "the just shall live by faith" is not a new doctrine that was introduced in the New Testament. 4. It is an Old Testament teaching and also has a very interesting context in the book of Habakkuk. 5. And in the book of Habakkuk there are all kinds of shenanigans and violence happening in Judah which began a burden that the Prophet sought audience with God. 6. But to his utter surprise, God even bigger burdens, that He was raising a ruthless nation to come and punish His people. 7. And in this conversation God introduced us to the doctrine of the Just shall live by faith. And this is the only way to live in respect of salvation from God's judgment. 8. A sinner cannot live or pass from death unto life by law keeping, but through faith in the Christ who was made for them wisdom from God, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.

Great Sermon! Just when we think we understand the sovereignty of God,He teaches us, just like Jonah and Habakkuk,we know so little. Truly humbling message to consider what we think we know of God's sovereignty and put it to the test.Only in Christ will we find our rest.
