24. How should one deal with those who teach that the Church Age epistles only extend from Romans through Philemon? Addressing this issue is simply a matter of approach. There are futuristic applications throughout the scripture and historical references too. Context always determines meaning and application. Those who eliminate the Jewish epistles generally do not account for the fact that these epistles also applied to a first century audience and were intended to instruct Church Age saints. Additionally, many of the same teachers claim that those epistles contain a different gospel and include works as a means of salvation for the "Tribulation." These reasons are generally the impetus behind those who force these epistles into a future dispensation. However, the truth is much simpler. These books were intended to be applied to the Church, and any futuristic application should be noted within the context. However, the same holds true for the thirteen epistles that commence with Paul's name. Paul's primary epistles address Daniel's Seventieth Week at times, and these elements do not exclude their direct application for the Church Age. 25. Was Paul out of the will of God for going to Jerusalem after being warned not to go? Regardless of one's position on this matter, it should be acknowledged that Paul was indeed warned of God and that he dealt with some consequences for ignoring the warnings. On the other hand, it must be acknowledged that God used Paul despite these decisions. That Paul's warnings were from God is obvious.
