When Tony and Keith Darrell arrived at their spot on the campus of UC Santa Barbara, they found an elderly man named Larry standing in a homemade booth. The booth resembled Lucy's Psychiatrist's Booth in the Charlie Brown cartoons. Larry's booth had a sign letting people know he had answers to their questions. He even had a donation jar, just like Lucy. Larry was a very kind man and, as far as we could tell, a brother in Christ. Larry gently told Tony and Keith that they might want to consider trying to reach the kids on campus a "different way." Larry was not a fan of open-air preaching. Tony and Keith enjoyed a nice conversation with Larry and tried to help him see that the message (the biblical gospel) always trumps methodology.
