We are going to end this discussion on the deity of Jesus with the remarkable story of the resurrection of Lazarus. Jesus' friend, Lazarus, became ill and died. Jesus arrives on scene four days later and in one of the greatest acts of love known to man, raises Lazarus from the dead. However Jesus did not raise Lazarus so that Lazarus would live eternally in his flesh. On the contrary, He raised Lazarus (who was ultimately going to die later) to demonstrate He was God made flesh to dwell in our midst.
