Who do you think you are to say to the Creator of the Sabbath; "it's okay if you heal someone, just don't do it on the Sabbath"?
Jesus' teachings ran true to the Scriptures, but counter to the philosophies and teaching that depended upon the traditions of men rather than God.
The story of the woman who was bent double by an evil spirit illustrates not only Jesus' compassion but is also a great picture of salvation. God has bypassed the arrogant and self-righteous to notice the humble who recognize their helplessness and hopelessness in sin. He calls us to Himself and by the stripes of God's wrath, poured out upon Him who became sin in our place, we are healed from our affliction of sin.
God delivers us to Himself, not by our works of righteousness, but by the work of the righteousness of Jesus on the cross. He breaks Satan's power over us and hold upon us.
He lifts us up, out of the mirey clay and sets our feet upon a rock. We respond by extolling His name and praising His name. The only reasonable response is for us to yield up our entire self to Him as a living sacrifice.
Now, we can look forward to seeing Jesus as He is.
