As we think about Joshua, is is telling the people here how to live and how to be a people that honors God. And I believe this is the key. One of the key elements as we think about what this situation almost caused, they almost went to battle and we could say it almost divided them. But notice I believe, and this is, I believe is key when we think about how that a church is to function, how we are to work together as leaders and pastors and brothers and sisters. Verse five, take diligent heed to do the commandments and the law. Which Moses. The servant of the Lord charged you to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. I think if we. Do that. Some of these things. That we'll look at today won't happen. What does it mean here to do? The commandments. We must obey the commandments of God. We must pay attention to, and we must live thereby, and the law. We must observe the law. The law brought about. A way of life. Love the Lord your God. I believe here Joshua knew as well that this was a choice that these people had to make. Joshua could not force these people. To love the Lord, it was a choice. Walking it all his ways believe. Obey, not. Walk in your own ways, but walk in the ways that God has pointed out through his commandments, through his law. Keep his commandments. To love him, to love those around us with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. In our neighbor as ourselves, what does it mean to cleave unto him?
