To know Jesus is to know the Father! To know the Father, we must know Jesus (7-8) Jesus is the way to the Father (6) If we know Jesus, we know the Father (7) Some have not seen the Father in Jesus (8) To know Jesus, we must believe that He and the Father are one (9-11) Whoever has seen Jesus has seen the Father (9) Jesus is in the Father, and the Father is in Jesus (10) (mutual co-inherence, mutual in-dwelling) Believe this, or else believe Jesus' works (11) One who truly believes in Jesus will do God's works (12) He will do the works that Jesus does (12a) He will do even greater works than Jesus does (12b) One who truly believes in Jesus will receive what he asks for (13-14) Whatever you ask in My name, this will I do (13) If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it (14) Applications Unbelievers: We must come to God through Jesus—always, through the Cross! Believers: If we want to know the Father, we must know Jesus (Word, application)
