Bro. Ed is a dear brother and friend to us down here in the panhandle of Florida. He and I both ministered regularly at the Mission of Hope just outside Mobile, Al to the Alcohol and Drug addicted. He was a constant and powerful witness of The Gospel of Christ until the day he entered the hospital. He preached for me at my church a couple of times while I was away and was a dear friend whose last advice he gave me will remain with me. He was a rare giant whose evangelistic zeal and Christlikeness influenced everyone he came into contact with. The man was a great encourager to me in the ministry. He had a heart for raising up the next generation of preachers. I will sorely miss him and his much needed influence in our mutual realms of ministry. Until I sing praises beside him in the presence of The Lamb, I will labor with the sweet memory of his many encouragements.
