The Psalmist David in his maskil continues on instructing his readers to realize that, a hearty conviction of sin by God's Spirit through His Word (Ps. 32v1 – 3); leads to an unreserved confession of sin unto forgiveness (Ps. 32v3 – 5). What follows in God's kind Providence is a realized confidence in God's sufficiency, not only to pardon, but to protect and guard His own. Therefore; the forgiven sinner (David or Christians) – desired to encourage others – "the godly" – Ps. 32v6" – to know God's kindness to forgiven. Herein is David's soliciting for; in the saved, a retention of a tender conscience. A consciencethat is quick to discern its error/sin and turn to God in prayer for Kind mercies before the heart become hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Therefore; all men are called on to seek the LORD God whilst He still is administering grace. For He is dependable, available and reliable. He is able.
