It is a good but difficult thing to wait patiently upon God. Waiting on God is a healthy reminder that you are NOT in control. God is! For worldly people, waiting results in restlessness and impatience, for results and success must happen now or when we say so. That is what happened with Israel and the Golden Calf (Exodus 32). Contrary to this, God's plan for His apostles as they awaited God's promised Holy Spirit was to obey Him at His word and to be united and devoted to prayer together. This is a good reminder to us as well.
